Our journey began with a deep love for our Brazilian Maltese, Lila, and a passion for giving our pets the very best. As Brazilian immigrants with an entrepreneurial spirit, we created MERCADO PET to share that love with fellow pet parents — offering high-quality, affordable products and care that truly make a difference in the lives of pets.

Lila’s sweet and affectionate nature inspired us to curate products that bring joy, comfort, and connection to every furry friend. And with the arrival of Chloe, our playful Malshi, our mission grew even bigger — to meet the diverse needs of pets everywhere while celebrating the love and happiness they bring into our lives.

The Very Beginnings

We began with a simple dream and a booth at local flea markets, where we first shared our custom dog walking sets by Lila Pawtique Brand — inspired by our beloved Lila, the pup who sparked it all. Her joyful spirit and stylish strut still guide everything we do, from collars to community. What started small has grown into a place where pets and their people feel at home. 🐾

✂️ Groomer David

Born in Sweden, David brings over three and a half years of professional grooming experience to Mercado Pet’s pups. He has gained valuable experience in both private salons and large retail settings, and he's ready to make your furry friend look and feel their best!

David is dedicated to providing gentle, high-quality grooming services tailored to each pet’s needs, and he’s always eager to keep learning and growing in his craft. We're thrilled to have him on board! He's also a dog dad to a beautiful German Shepherd called Stella! 🐶

✂️ Groomer Iris

Originally from China, Iris brings over 7 years of hands-on pet care experience to Mercado Pet. She’s certified in First Aid for Dogs & Cats, ensuring every furry friend is safe, comfortable, and pampered during their grooming session. 🐶🐱

Iris has completed the Advanced Pet Grooming Program at K Pet Studio and is now our newest talented groomer, ready to make tails wag and whiskers sparkle!

When she’s not at the salon, Iris is a proud mom to Dafu, her playful Golden Doodle who keeps her inspired every day.
