Our journey began with a deep love for our Brazilian Maltese, Lila, and a passion for giving our pets the very best. As Brazilian immigrants with an entrepreneurial spirit, we created MERCADO PET to share that love with fellow pet parents — offering high-quality, affordable products and care that truly make a difference in the lives of pets.

Lila’s sweet and affectionate nature inspired us to curate products that bring joy, comfort, and connection to every furry friend. And with the arrival of Chloe, our playful Malshi, our mission grew even bigger — to meet the diverse needs of pets everywhere while celebrating the love and happiness they bring into our lives.

We began with a simple dream and a booth at local flea markets, where we first shared our custom dog walking sets by Lila Pawtique Brand — inspired by our beloved Lila, the pup who sparked it all. Her joyful spirit and stylish strut still guide everything we do, from collars to community. What started small has grown into a place where pets and their people feel at home. 🐾
